Many men and women who suffer from melasma or other skin discoloration will rely on a melanage peel to reduce that hyperpigmentation. The process works best in a series and rarely takes more than 20 minutes from start to finish.
What is the melanage treatment?
The melanage peel is a superficial peel designed to improve the texture and appearance of hyperpigmented (darkened) skin. The treatment process is a two-part system which involves a medicated masque, in-addition-to an at-home regime. This peel treatment is safe and effective for men and women of all skin types, from very light to very dark skin. One of the features that makes this treatment so desirable is there is no pain and little-to- no irritation during the application of the masque and the irritation level the first few days following the treatment is comparable to minor sunburn. The damaged skin will gently slough away and in a few weeks, your skin will have an even tone and a nice, vibrant glow. The melanage peel will remove discoloration, sunspots, age-spots, and treat melasma and pregnancy mask.
How does the melanage treatment work for me?
The Melanage 1 masque is compounded fresh, to insure potency and reliability, and then applied to the desired treatment area. You remove the masque after a required length of time, depending on your skin type.
You will receive an easy-to-follow at-home regime, involving the application of several melanage products, once the masque is removed. You will have more obvious peeling the first three days following the treatment with slight, less obvious peeling for the next thirty days.
Strict adherence to the program will reduce the likelihood of the discoloration returning once it has been treated.
